Khaberni - The Chief of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, visited the Eastern Military Region's command today, Tuesday, and was received by the region's commander.
Major General Al-Huneiti, in the presence of the Assistant for Operations and Training, listened to a briefing provided by the region's commander on the duties and tasks of the region, the most prominent operational, training, and logistical programs, and the progress of plans aimed at enhancing the readiness of the region’s personnel. This contributes to improving the performance levels of the formations and units within it.
The Chief of Staff also inspected the Royal Field Air Defense Group/5, one of the support formations in the region, and listened to a briefing about the group's operations and the main devices, weapons, and equipment used by the group in their duties.
Major General Al-Huneiti reviewed one of the recently introduced air defense systems, aimed at enhancing the air defense system and keeping up with the latest developments in the operational environment, tailored to the nature of surrounding challenges, enabling the region to efficiently and effectively execute the assigned duties and responsibilities.
The Chief of Staff appreciated the significant and active role played by the region’s personnel in protecting the nation’s assets, through countering various infiltration and smuggling operations, asserting the General Command of the Armed Forces’ commitment to providing all formations and units with the necessary weapons and equipment, in addition to its ongoing efforts in employing modern technology to defend the nation's borders.
At the end of the visit, attended by several senior officers of the Armed Forces, the Chief of Staff wrote a message in the distinguished visitors’ log.
