Khaberni - The Jerash Health Directorate has activated the Cochlear Clinic at the Al-Qadisiyah Primary Health Center within the governorate to provide hearing and speech treatment services, in addition to conducting cochlear examinations, according to the Jerash Health Director, Saeb Abu Abboud.
Abu Abboud stated that the activation of the clinic was initiated by the Crown Prince Foundation, as part of the "Hearing without Borders" initiative, aiming to elevate the level of health services provided to the citizens, noting that the clinic was established within the framework of this initiative.
He added that the clinic is the first of its kind at the level of health centers in Jerash Governorate and the Northern Region, explaining that it has been equipped to offer its services to the visitors within the initiative.
Abu Abboud pointed out that the clinic operates on Mondays every week, and provides speech training services and cochlear examinations, in addition to referring cases that require cochlear implantation to specialized departments in government hospitals.
He clarified that the first day the clinic was activated, it received several visitors for examinations and to receive auditory and speech services, in a step that contributes to meeting the needs of the citizens and improving the quality of healthcare in the governorate.
