New Achievement for Amman Arab University Pharmacy Placement of the Masters Program in Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affa

Khaberni - As part of Amman Arab University's efforts to achieve its strategic goals and aspirations to improve the quality of academic programs, and striving for excellence and leadership in pharmaceutical education ensuring alignment of programs with job market requirements and enhancing the competitiveness and innovation of its graduates in various health and pharmaceutical fields, and thanks to the blessed efforts exerted by the members of the academic and administrative staff at the College of Pharmacy, the Higher Education Accreditation Commission chaired by Professor Dr. Zafar Al-Sarayrah has accredited the qualification of the first of its kind program in the Middle East – a Master's in Pharmacy in Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs, within the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, President of Amman Arab University, stated that the university continuously strives to excel and innovate across various academic and research fields, and community service, noting that this achievement aligns with the university’s vision and strategic plan for continuous improvement and development, expressing his appreciation for this qualitative achievement that contributes to aligning learning outcomes with the requirements of local, regional, and international job markets, and solidifying the university's position as an educational institution leading in excellence and innovation.
In turn, Professor Dr. Rana Abu Houeij, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, explained that the placement and national and international accreditation of the program mark an important milestone in the college's journey towards enhancing the quality of pharmaceutical education and achieving prestigious accreditations. She added that the program, which was introduced in the academic year 2023/2024, is close to graduating its first cohort of students, which represents a qualitative achievement reflecting the college's commitment to local and international educational standards in pharmaceutical education, and she added that the college had previously obtained the American accreditation (ACPE) for pharmaceutical education in addition to the placement of the Bachelor’s program in Pharmacy, which reflects its commitment to an institutional approach that keeps pace with global developments and enhances its position as a distinguished academic institution in leadership and innovation.
It is noted that the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, within the framework of its future aspirations, seeks to enhance its academic and research partnerships with prestigious global universities and centers, and to work on introducing specialized graduate programs that meet the needs of regional and international job markets, and also prioritizes adopting the latest pharmaceutical education methods based on innovation and applied research, ensuring that graduates are prepared to effectively compete and contribute to the development of the healthcare sector and pharmaceutical industries.
