The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, directed the opening of the Qiblatain Mosque in Medina around the clock (24 hours), to facilitate worshippers at all times.
In the same context, Prince Salman bin Sultan, Governor of the Medina Region and Chairman of the Region Development Authority, appreciated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for their gracious patronage and constant care of the Houses of God, and their continuous efforts to enhance the services provided to the guests of the Most Merciful.
He said, "This generous directive is an extension of the special care the state takes of the Houses of God, especially the Two Holy Mosques, embodying the Kingdom’s mission in serving Islam and Muslims."
Prince Salman bin Sultan emphasized the utmost efforts to care for the Qiblatain Mosque and facilitate its visitors, stemming from its religious and historical significance, and to enable worshippers to perform their duties with ease and tranquility, indicating that the concerned authorities have started completing the operational procedures necessary to ensure the mosque’s readiness around the clock (24 hours).
The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh clarified that this directive reaffirms the leadership's commitment to caring for the Houses of God and providing utmost comfort to its visitors, particularly the historical mosques that hold a special status among Muslims.
He pointed to the mosque’s readiness for operation around the clock around the clock and its preparedness for worshippers with services that ensure their comfort, explaining that the ministry is proceeding with implementing quality projects to develop mosques, in line with the goals of Vision 2030, reflecting the pioneering role of the Kingdom in serving Islam and Muslims.
