Khaberni - The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi announced on Monday that the international agency has lost about five thousand employees since the beginning of the year, amid a significant decline in international funding.
Grandi said at the beginning of the agency's annual Executive Committee meeting, "About 5000 of our colleagues in the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees lost their jobs this year," emphasizing that this equates to "more than a quarter of our total workforce."
