Khaberni - At least 6 patients were killed in India today, Monday, after a fire broke out in the main government-run hospital in the northwestern city of Jaipur.
According to the Indian news agency, a hospital official said that the fire, suspected to be caused by an electrical fault, started in the intensive care unit of the "Sawai Man Singh" Hospital, and quickly spread to a nearby wing of the medical complex, emitting toxic gases.
He added that 5 patients remain in critical condition, while 13 others were evacuated safely.
The police noted that an investigation conducted by the forensic laboratory will determine the exact cause of the fire
