Khaberni - The nieces of Syrian actress Amal Arfa, Abeer and Dalal Al-Akrami, issued a public apology in which they revealed details about the leaking of an audio recording belonging to Amal Arfa's daughter, Mariam Omairi, through a friend in Lebanon, following a family dispute, after the famous actress confirmed that she would take legal action, stating that she and her family were being extorted, in her words.
The statement, published on Sunday evening, said: "We, Abeer Al-Akrami and Dalal Al-Akrami, admit and acknowledge that after a dispute with our cousin, the actress Amal Arfa, we sent the voices to a friend in Lebanon and it leaked to be published on malicious pages... We take responsibility for what happened, and we publicly apologize to our aunt, the actress Amal Arfa, and her daughter Mariam Omairi for the harm caused to them."
The public apology also mentioned that the page that posted the recordings tried to financially bargain with Amal in exchange for deleting the materials, but the latter refused and proceeded to take legal action, concluding the apology by thanking Amal for her "nobility and her concession of her rights in the case."
For her part, Amal Arfa posted the statement through the "Story" feature on Instagram and wrote: "The story is bigger than an apology, but for the honor of my father's soil, I dropped my right.. I have forgiven.. and from you to God, He who holds the affair after the great injustice my daughter was exposed to."
These developments come days after the spread of an audio recording attributed to Mariam Omairi, in which she appears to verbally attack a relative, seemingly for disrespecting her mother, causing significant reactions and sparking a broad discussion about private family disputes.
Meanwhile, Arfa intervened, affirming her support for her daughter, and urging her to remain strong.
