Khaberni - Iran confirmed on Monday that it does not intend "at this stage" to resume talks with the European countries regarding its nuclear file, after the Security Council reinstated the UN sanctions on it.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei, in his weekly press conference said, "We have no plans to negotiate at this stage. Our current focus is on studying the consequences and implications of the steps taken by the three European countries and the United States."
The Security Council reimposed sanctions on Tehran at the end of September, following the activation of the "trigger mechanism" by France, Britain, and France, outlined in the 2015 nuclear agreement, due to its non-compliance with its terms following the unilateral U.S. withdrawal from it in 2018.
