Khaberni - US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he expects to visit China in about a month, after it was delayed due to the war on Iran.
Trump told reporters at the White House "We have a very good working relationship with China, so we will make it (the visit) in about 5 or 6 weeks."
The US president mentioned in statements he made on Sunday to the "Financial Times" the possibility of postponing his visit to China if Beijing does not help facilitate navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
He said on Monday that he asked China to postpone the visit "for about a month", due to his need to stay in the United States because of the war with Iran.
China announced on Tuesday that it "took note" of the US clarifications, noting that it is still in communication with the US administration regarding this visit.
Preparations for this visit have been underway for months, and it is expected to include a meeting between Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, which may lead to defusing the trade war between the giants.
But the war with Iran disrupts the agenda as much as it disrupts the relationship between the two powers.
Donald Trump, who asserts that the joint US-Israeli war is a guarantee for the future security of the entire world, said that China, one of the countries most dependent on Iranian oil, "should thank" the United States for launching the attack.
The US president exerted pressure on his country’s allies, as well as on China, to contribute to securing maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz after Iran almost completely disrupted it.
