Khaberni - Within the framework of implementing US President Donald Trump's plan, a source from the Hamas movement disclosed that the movement has started to collect the bodies of Israelis and has requested through Egypt to stop aerial bombings in specific areas to complete the task, noting that the delivery of live hostages will take place in one phase, while delivering the bodies will take some time, with American flexibility in this matter.
The source added in statements to "Al Arabiya/Al Hadath" that the movement received American guarantees through Qatar that entail a permanent Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, confirming that Hamas agreed to hand the weapons over to a Palestinian-Egyptian authority under international supervision, and has informed the United States of its consent.
A list of bodies and hostages
The source also pointed out that the movement's leaderships leaving the sector is contingent upon their decision and that there are American guarantees that they will not be harmed, adding that Hamas provided the mediators with a list of bodies and hostages to be presented to Israel, which knows exactly their number.
The source clarified that the negotiations will be rapid and intense, and it is in the movement's interest to implement the provisions quickly, but accused Israel of obstructing Trump's plan by continuing bombing and destruction, emphasizing that Hamas is committed to stopping the fighting and will not be drawn into Israel's trap.
In a related context, Hamas demanded the release of Palestinian leaders as part of the exchange deal, according to Channel 12 Israeli.
No specific timetable
It should be noted that the peace plan revealed by the US president about a week ago did not specify an exact timetable or clear path for withdrawal, but it stipulated that Israeli forces would withdraw to an agreed line to facilitate the process of releasing prisoners, and all military operations would be suspended until the full and gradual withdrawal conditions are met.
Before Trump's announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the army would redeploy but would continue to control strategically important areas within Gaza.
He emphasized that the disarmament of Hamas and the stripping of weaponry from the sector would take place "either diplomatically according to Trump's plan, or militarily if necessary".
Netanyahu also renewed yesterday, in a televised speech addressed to the Israelis, his assurance that the Israeli military would remain deep in the Gaza Strip to protect Israel's security and ensure the achievement of the war's goals until its end.
