Khaberni - The foreign ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Arab Republic of Egypt, today, welcomed the steps taken by Hamas in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the war on Gaza, release all hostages, both alive and deceased, and immediately start negotiations to agree on mechanisms for implementation.
The foreign ministers also welcomed U.S. President Trump's call for Israel to immediately stop bombing and begin implementing the exchange agreement, and expressed their appreciation for his commitment to peace in the region. They confirmed that these developments represent a real opportunity for a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire and for addressing the critical humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The foreign ministers also welcomed Hamas's announcement of its readiness to hand over the governance of Gaza to a transitional Palestinian administrative committee of independent technocrats, and emphasized the necessity to immediately start negotiations to agree on mechanisms for implementing the proposal and addressing all its aspects.
The foreign ministers reaffirmed their joint commitment to supporting efforts aimed at implementing the proposal’s terms, working towards an immediate end to the war on Gaza, reaching a comprehensive agreement that ensures the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, prevents the displacement of the Palestinian people, avoids any steps that threaten the security and safety of civilians, secures the release of hostages, restores the Palestinian Authority to Gaza, unifies the West Bank and Gaza Strip, establishes a security mechanism that guarantees the security of all parties, leads to a full Israeli withdrawal, rebuilds Gaza, and paves the way for achieving just peace based on a two-state solution.
