Khaberni - The Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, Naim Qasim, stated that everything witnessed in the region, especially what is happening in the Gaza Strip, is an integral part of the "Greater Israel" project that Tel Aviv is striving to implement with US support.
In press statements, Qasim said, "Any step currently taken is part of the Greater Israel project, and any retreat that may seem tactical on the surface is actually waiting for better circumstances, and is not a withdrawal from this project."
He emphasized that "the banner of Greater Israel must be present and clear in front of everyone's eyes," confirming that what happens today in Gaza is not isolated, but is "a link within this systematic project."
Qasim added, "The American plan regarding Gaza, as presented by US President Donald Trump, is full of dangers and aims to reshape the region to serve the interests of the Israeli occupation."
Qasim said, "All that happens in the region is interconnected, and the events in Gaza cannot be separated from those in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iran, because the goal is one, and the main player is the criminal enemy Israel, supported by the American tyrant under Trump."
Qasim criticized what he described as "the American plan regarding Gaza" put forward by President Donald Trump, asserting that it "fully conforms to the five principles announced by the Israeli government to end the war, making it an Israeli plan in American clothing."
He noted that this plan not only reflects a political bias but also poses an existential threat to Palestine and the entire region, adding: "We all must face this danger because everyone is targeted in Lebanon and throughout the region."
Qasim emphasized the necessity for each party to confront this project from their position and according to their capabilities, clarifying: "When we face Israel, we must do so each from our position, and according to our capacity and plan, at least to protect ourselves from the danger before it directly reaches us."
Qasim touched on the internal situation in Lebanon, saying that some had expected to achieve some political goals after the agreement made about 60 days ago, but the reality has shown that external calculations differ from the internal ones.
Qasim's statements come amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for months, which has resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries, amid regional and international warnings of the worsening humanitarian situation. These statements are an extension of Hezbollah's stance, which sees the ongoing conflict as not limited to the borders of Gaza, but as part of a broader strategic project that Israel seeks to achieve, benefiting from US political and military support, according to analysts.
