JordanianPalestinian Company Contracts to Export 4000 Tons of Vegetables to Europe

Khaberni - Ibrahim Al-Sharif, assistant general manager of the Jordanian-Palestinian Company for Marketing Agricultural Products, said on Friday that contracts are being signed to export 4000 tons of Jordanian agricultural products to 5 European countries that need these products during the winter season.

Al-Sharif added that several contracts were not fulfilled due to the closure of the King Hussein Bridge by the Israeli side, and many products were not delivered.

He confirmed that the closure of the King Hussein Bridge prevents Palestinian products from reaching the Jordanian market and the Gulf markets.

He explained that Jordanian products did not reach the Palestinian markets even before the closure of the King Hussein Bridge, because the agricultural products needed 10 to 14 days for clearance due to Israeli obstacles, which spoiled the products before they entered Palestine.

Regarding exports from Jordan, Al-Sharif indicated that the land route through Syria will be used to deliver the products to European countries.

He affirmed that Jordanian products will be exported to Europe.
