Khaberni - A leadership source in the Ministry of Interior in Gaza stated that 20 police personnel were martyred because of a bombardment that targeted them while they were pursuing criminal groups in the Khan Younis governorate.
The ministry added that the police officers were on a security mission to pursue "criminal gangs involved in the killing of citizens and mutilating their bodies," noting that "one of the prominent suspects involved was killed and others were arrested during the security mission."
The ministry denied that the operation was directed against "any particular family," confirming that the aim was to pursue "individuals involved in crimes that threaten civil peace." It mentioned that "some gangs seek shelter under the occupation to create chaos and undermine internal security."
The ministry accused the occupation forces of intervening from the air to protect "groups known for their security breaches" while being pursued in Khan Younis, and considered this intervention "a direct service to those militias."
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that "the security forces will not allow the spread of disorder and will continue their duties to protect citizens," adding that it is "determined to pursue all those involved and bring them to revolutionary justice" and "we will strike with an iron hand anyone who tampers with the security of the citizens or cooperates with the occupation."
