Khaberni - Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Uzbekistan Football Federation officials have reached an official agreement with Italian coach Fabio Cannavaro to coach the Uzbek team in the upcoming period.
Romano wrote on his social media account X: "Fabio Cannavaro verbally agrees to take over as the new coach of the Uzbekistan national team as part of the 2026 World Cup."
He continued: "The terms of the contract were agreed upon with the expectation of reviewing the official contracts and signing them within 24 hours. Cannavaro is ready to accept the task of coaching Uzbekistan as revealed on Monday.
