Khaberni - The retired Egyptian player Amr Zaki denied rumors of a health scare, confirming that he is leading his life normally.
Amr Zaki, the former star of Zamalek Club and the Egyptian national team, expressed his strong displeasure about the rumors that spread in the last few hours about a health crisis or sudden illness, confirming that he is in good health and lives his life normally at home, and does not suffer from any diseases as some have promoted.
Zaki said in press statements: "I am astounded and upset by what is happening, what is the importance of now writing news that I am sick?! Even the Al-Ahly and Zamalek match that ended two days ago was not reported in this manner, whereas suddenly everyone writes at the same time that I am ill."
He added: "I want everyone to leave me alone, what is the aim of these news? Am I doing something dangerous for example that it should be told to people (rest assured about Amr Zaki)?!", pointing out that what most upset him was the worry that affected his family.
He said: "I do not live with my children in one place and they were alarmed by what they heard, and my mother and daughter collapsed because of those rumors. If the person writing these news wants to help me he should speak to me directly, but no one contacted me, as if it’s an organized campaign against me."
He continued: "Last year it was said that I had died, and today they say (rest assured about Amr Zaki)! I do not know if I am targeted or what, but I am fine and do not suffer from anything."
He concluded his talk expressing his annoyance: "It is supposed that any journalist should verify the accuracy of the news before publishing it, and be sure of what they say. What happened bothered me a lot, especially as it came without justification and harmed my family."
Shoubir's Statements
The statements by the Egyptian media personality Ahmed Shoubir about the retired player Amr Zaki facing a difficult ordeal worried fans, while his brother denied any health problems.
His statements came on his radio program "With Shoubir", where he said: "Keep checking on Amr Zaki.. he is going through a very tough and harsh ordeal, and may God relieve him," which prompted his followers to inquire about the nature of the crisis he is going through "the Bulldozer."
The absence of Amr Zaki from the sports and media scene in recent years has added to the mystery, especially after he distanced himself from his position in the youth sector at Zamalek Club, to completely disappear from the limelight without clear reasons.
