Khaberni - The German Federal Center for Nutrition recommends not peeling cucumbers; because vitamins and minerals are found just under the skin.
The center explained that cucumbers are rich in vitamin (B), vitamin (C), and vitamin (E), and are also abundant in iron, zinc, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus.
German nutrition experts added that cucumbers are also low in calories; about 12 calories per hundred grams; this is because they are made up of water by up to 97%, making them ideal for weight loss and regaining fitness.
Another health benefit of cucumbers is that they have a diuretic effect and are rich in dietary fiber.
