Khaberni - A joint cooperation agreement was signed at the Moroccan Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills to establish the first distinguished Jordanian-Moroccan "Takwin" professional/institute complex for vocational training in the capital, Amman.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Jordanian side by Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vocational Training Corporation / Minister of Labor, and on the Moroccan side by the Moroccan Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, in the presence of the Jordanian Ambassador to the Moroccan Kingdom, Jumana Ghunaimat, and the General Manager of the Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmad Al-Ghraibeh.
The two sides agreed to immediately start preparing the executive plan to lay the foundation stone for the project in Amman and commence its implementation.
Al-Bakkar stated that this agreement stemmed from the fraternal and historical relations between the two brotherly countries and the close brotherly relations between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II.
He emphasized that His Majesty King Abdullah II is keen on strengthening and consolidating Jordan's relations with Arab brothers in general and appreciates deeply the rooted relationship with the Moroccan brothers and his brother, His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Al-Bakkar also conveyed Jordan's appreciation on behalf of its government and people to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for this joint cooperation, which contributes to training Jordanian youth for the labor market needs.
The minister indicated that according to the agreement, the government allocated 11 dunums of land on the airport road in Amman to establish the institute directly in three phases.
He stressed the importance of benefiting from the distinguished Moroccan experience in vocational training, or what is called in the Kingdom of Morocco, professional training, especially in employment-ending training programs and apprenticeship programs.
Al-Bakkar reviewed the Moroccan model in "professional training" "Tvet Ecosystem" to benefit from it and transfer it to Jordan to serve in qualifying and training Jordanian youth for entry into the labor market.
In turn, the Jordanian Ambassador in the Moroccan Kingdom, Jumana Ghunaimat, appreciated the cooperation of the Moroccan government and the Moroccan Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills and the ministry's staff for reaching this illuminating step in the relations between the two brotherly countries.
For his part, Moroccan Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills Younes Sekkouri emphasized the depth of the good and fraternal relations that link the two kingdoms and the significant interest from His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Majesty King Abdullah II.
He expressed his welcome for this new cooperation between the governments of the two brotherly countries to enhance joint cooperation to serve the youth and their future.
Sekkouri underscored the need to expedite the setting of the execution plan and the continuation of the technical communication from both sides to implement the project on the ground.
On his part, General Manager of the Vocational Training Corporation Dr. Ahmad Ghraibeh explained that an agreement was reached between the Corporation and the Director of the Moroccan Office for Vocational Training and Employment Promotion, Lubna Itricha, to start training in vital fields including health and pharmaceutical specializations, maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles, maintenance of precision electrical devices, specialized digital skills, and fields of Moroccan cuisine and hospitality.
Ghraibeh confirmed that a set of specializations will be developed based on the distinguished Moroccan experience, represented by the exchange of expertise and "professional training" programs, in addition to sending trainees to Morocco.
