A region in Jordan records the highest temperature in February in 10 years

Khaberni - Official data from Queen Alia International Airport, located south of the capital Amman, indicates that the maximum recorded temperature reached about 27.4 degrees Celsius. This value is the highest recorded in the month of February in nearly a decade, as climate records show that the last time temperatures exceeded 26 degrees Celsius at the same location during February was in 2016.

In the same context, the areas of Amman Civil Airport, located east of the capital Amman, recorded a maximum temperature of about 24 degrees Celsius. Such values are among the warmest according to the climate records, as temperatures like these have not been recorded in February since 2021, approximately five years ago.

This significant and unusual increase in temperatures is attributed to the deepening effect of a warm air mass coming from the southern regions, which led to raising temperature levels above their general average for this time of the year, with a noticeable difference.

However, thankfully, the effect of this air mass will not last long, as the latest weather forecasts indicate that its impact will start to decline from the morning hours of Tuesday, where a clear and significant drop in temperatures is expected.
