Khaberni - German Jürgen Klopp confirmed that he does not want to return to the world of coaching, indicating that he misses nothing in his life as a coach since his departure from Liverpool in 2024, and he also expressed his happiness with his current position, as he is now able to determine his vacations on his own and is no longer bound by the schedules mandated by the league associations.
Klopp had left Liverpool at the end of the season before last after leading them for nine years and having won the Champions League and the English Premier League with them. He had previously coached Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, before taking up the position of global football operations president at Red Bull.
In an interview with "The Athletic", Klopp said he knew he would return to work after leaving Liverpool, but he also knew that he no longer wanted to work as a coach.
He added: I didn’t even know when Liverpool's matches were starting; I was simply out of football, engaged in sports, enjoying life, spending time with grandchildren, totally normal things. I knew then I’d work again, but I also knew that I did not want to work as a coach anymore.
Pursuing, Klopp said: I am now fifty-eight years old. If I return to coaching at sixty-five, everyone will say: Didn’t you say you wouldn’t do it again? Sorry, I was then 100% sure. That is what I believe now. I don’t miss anything.
Klopp explained that the nature of his new role gives him the flexibility to determine his own vacation schedule "instead of it being determined by the English League or the German League", considering that the new role makes sense given his reputation as a founder of projects within the clubs.
