Khaberni - The Axios website and Channel 12 Israeli correspondent reported on Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a phone call to Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, apologizing for violating Qatar's sovereignty in the Doha attack.
Netanyahu expressed his regret for the death of a Qatari security officer in the attack, according to a source familiar with the details.
The conversation took place during a meeting between Netanyahu and American President Donald Trump at the White House.
Qatar confirmed that Israel launched a "criminal attack" targeting residential headquarters of several members of the Hamas political bureau in Doha, while the Israeli military announced that it, along with the Shin Bet security service and through the air force, launched an attack on the senior leadership of Hamas.
According to a statement issued by the Qatari Ministry of Interior, the assault resulted in the death of Corporal Badr Sad Muhammad Al Humaid Al Dosari from the Qatari Internal Security Force, "Lekhwiya", while performing his duties at the target site, in addition to a number of scattered injuries among the security elements.
Qatari relevant authorities found human remains at various locations within the site of the Israeli attack.
