Khaberni - Keylor Navas, former goalkeeper for Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, experienced a difficult night during his team Pumas' heavy 4-1 defeat against Club America on Saturday night in the Mexican football league.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper conceded four goals in a single match for the first time since February 2023, when his team Nottingham Forest lost 4-0 to West Ham in the Premier League.
The highlight of the match came in the 73rd minute when Alejandro Zendejas received a pass from former Newcastle player Allan Saint-Maximin, and saw Navas slightly off his line to send a lob that surprised Navas, who tried unsuccessfully to clear it.
America was trailing 1-0 in the first half against Pumas, but they equalized with an own goal scored by Alvaro Angulo.
Raúl Zúñiga then gave the hosts the lead before Zendejas added the third with a beautiful lob, and then scored the fourth from a penalty kick in the 83rd minute, achieving a brace.
With this victory, Club America moved up to third place in the standings of the Mexican premier league with 24 points. They trail Toluca and Monterrey, who are tied with 25 points each, by just one point.
