Nashmiat Under 20 Lose by Eight Against North Korea in the Opening of the Asian Cup

Khaberni - The national women's under-20 team lost to their counterpart, the North Korean women's team, by a score of 8-0, in the match that took place today, Thursday, at Pathum Thani Stadium in the Thai capital, Bangkok, marking the beginning of their journey in the Under-20 Women's Asian Cup 2026.
This match is part of the group competitions which also include the national team, North Korea, South Korea, and Uzbekistan.
The national women’s under-20 team had finished their preparations for the tournament with training camps and friendly matches, aiming to compete effectively in the continental finals.
The national team is scheduled to meet the South Korean women's team in their upcoming match at 12 noon on Sunday, Jordan time, before facing the Uzbek women's team on the following Wednesday.
According to the tournament system, the top two teams from each group along with the best two teams ranking third will qualify to the quarter-finals, while the first four teams in the tournament will qualify to the Under-20 Women's World Cup finals.
