Khaberni - The Al-Madahneh clan issued a statement today, Monday, about the killing incident of the youths Abdullah and Nibal Al-Madahneh, which has sparked various stories on social media.
The clan confirmed in its statement that what happened was a result of individual action by a member of the armed forces, emphasizing that this act "represents only himself," and that investigations are still underway to reveal all the details of the case.
The statement emphasized the clan's trust in the fair Jordanian judiciary, warning against attempts to exploit the incident to incite discord or serve special agendas from inside or outside.
Furthermore, the Al-Madahneh clan declared its full support for the Jordanian Armed Forces and the security agencies in all their components, reaffirming its commitment to the security and stability of the homeland and standing united behind the Hashemite leadership.
A military official from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that a patrol belonging to the Jordanian Armed Forces was performing its duty at checkpoints in the Al-Qurn area within the northern military region's jurisdiction was surprised by a vehicle that refused to comply with the stop orders at the security checkpoint. The vehicle attempted to breach the checkpoint without adhering to the instructions of the armed forces, necessitating the application of the engagement rules adopted by the armed forces to address such situations, after exhausting all available options.
Upon the vehicle's halt due to the engagement, it was found to contain two individuals who were injured and subsequently transferred to Abu Ubaida hospital in the North Shuna area for necessary treatment, but they soon succumbed to their injuries, and an investigation was opened into the incident to determine the circumstances and details.
The armed forces appealed to the citizens to comply with military instructions at military checkpoints, stating that they deal with any violation according to the rules of engagement.
