Khaberni - Gold prices in the local market rose on Monday, recording new record numbers, reaching the highest level in the history of Jordan.
According to the second pricing issued by the General Union of Owners of Jewelry Trade and Craft Shops, the price of gold rose by 1.5 dinars per gram, bringing the selling price of 21-karat gold—most demanded by citizens—to 77.8 dinars for selling purposes from jewelry shops, compared to 74.8 dinars for buying purposes.
Selling prices for one gram of gold in karats 24, 18, and 14 for buying purposes from jewelry shops also increased, reaching 89.2, 68.8, and 52.3 dinars respectively.
