Khaberni - The Iranian authorities executed a spy for Israel, according to what was reported by the judicial authority's media site in the country today Monday.
The media site of the judicial authority said that the execution has been carried out on "one of Israel's most important spies in the country".
It added that the executed spy had access to Iran's sovereign databases.
Tehran arrested, last June, in the city of Qum several individuals who were said to be connected to Israeli intelligence services, and at the time, the authorities executed a man convicted of spying for Israel.
On the dawn of June 13 last year, Israel launched a wide-scale attack on Iran named "Rising Lion", with implicit support from the United States, during which it bombed nuclear and military facilities in various areas, assassinated prominent military leaders and nuclear scientists, and targeted civilian and sovereign headquarters, including the official television building.
The war, which lasted 12 days, revealed security vulnerabilities in Iran, with successive assassination operations of leaders and scientists, and the Supreme National Security Council, at that time, vowed to inflict the severest penalties up to execution on anyone who collaborates in espionage or spies on behalf of Israel.
