Daniel Kinde From PSG Star to Uber Driver

Khaberni -Former Portuguese player Daniel Kinde, who trained with Benfica and played with Paris Saint-Germain in the mid-nineties, is in unfortunate circumstances after retiring from football.

The Portuguese newspaper "Correio da Manhã" reported today, Monday, that the player, who once played internationally for the Portuguese youth team and has origins from Guinea-Bissau, got addicted to gambling and nightclubbing, which ruined his football career and led to his retirement.

The newspaper quotes Kinde saying: "This is my first day working as a driver at Uber, and I hope it will be a very happy day for me."

He added: "I had my dreams and my dream was football, I loved it but my dreams ended quickly, today I will start my new job with great pride and dignity."

The newspaper clarified that Kinde worked in coaching between 2015 and 2017, and appeared on a reality TV show in 2022, but he now owes nearly 200,000 euros, including 40,000 in taxes.

Besides Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain, Kinde previously played with Porto, Estrela Amadora, Sporting Braga, and APOEL from Cyprus, before ending his career in 2012 with the Greek team Premiacos.
