What happened to the sole survivor of the doomed Indian plane

Khaberni -The sole survivor of the plane crash disaster in India continues to relive the horrifying moments he experienced on the day of the accident. Even more than a month after the air disaster that claimed the lives of 241 people, including his brother, the memories continue to haunt him at night.

The family of the British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh (40 years old), who miracurously survived the accident that occurred on June 12, reported that he cannot sleep at night and suffers from recurring nightmares that bring him back to the moment when he saw all the passengers dying before his eyes.

His relative Krunal Keshav, who lives in Leicester, England, told the British newspaper "Metro": "He doesn't sleep normally.. When he closes his eyes, he sees himself on board the plane, remembering the entire scene as if it is happening again."

He added, "He talks, but he never talks about the accident.. He tries to live a normal life, but he rarely leaves the house, preferring to spend his time with his family."

The plane, a Boeing 787-8, crashed shortly after taking off on a flight from India to London, killing 229 of the 230 passengers, in addition to the 12-member crew.

Vishwash alone survived the crash but was injured in the chest, eyes, and feet, and was transported to the hospital where he stayed for five days before leaving on June 17.

In a painful scene, after leaving the hospital, Vishwash participated in the funeral of his elder brother Ajay (45 years old), who was accompanying him on the flight, and helped carry his coffin in the family's hometown of Diu, India.

While in the hospital, the survivor spoke to the Hindustan Times, saying: "About thirty seconds after takeoff, we heard a loud noise, then the plane crashed.. Everything happened terribly fast.. When I opened my eyes, bodies surrounded me from every side, and I felt terror; I stood up and ran. Plane debris was scattered everywhere until someone caught me and put me into an ambulance."

Despite his physical survival, the psychological trauma left by the accident still lingers in his daily life, amid strenuous efforts by his family to support him so he can overcome what he lived through and regain his previous life.
