Barcelona Yields to Rashfords Demands

Khaberni -The Spanish newspaper "Sport" indicated today, Monday, that the management of Barcelona FC, represented by coach Hansi Flick and sports director Deco, finally succumbed to the insistence of English striker Marcus Rashford and his advisory team, and agreed to his loan from Manchester United, coming from Aston Villa.

The newspaper confirmed that this deal is a victory for Rashford and his team who have fought a long and complicated battle to fulfill his dream of moving to the Catalan club.
"Sport" added that Rashford's desire to join Barcelona was not a spur-of-the-moment wish, but a dream he had been harboring for many months and had expressed openly to anyone who would listen.

The newspaper noted that the main obstacle to the deal until recently was not the player's desire, but the difficulties that the Catalan club faced in completing it, represented by the "Red Devils'" financial demands of 40 million Euros, the high salary of the player, in addition to other priorities of both Flick and Deco to strengthen the left wing position.
The newspaper clarified that Rashford and his advisory team, led by his agent Arturo Canales, successfully overcame these three obstacles with great skill and patience.
Rejections of offers:

Initially, the player, his family, and his agent adopted a simple yet decisive approach: rejecting all offers made to him, whether permanent transfers or loans, insisting on joining Barcelona only. This stance left Manchester United no choice but to respond to the player's request.

    Salary Reduction:

The second obstacle required a personal sacrifice from Rashford, as the player had to significantly reduce a part of his salary to align with Barcelona's new financial reality, agreeing to a total salary of 14 million Euros, which is less than what he currently earns at his English club.

    Market Fluctuations:

Finally, the resolution of the third obstacle was due to the fluctuations of the transfer market, as Flick and Deco could not incorporate their main priorities in the preceding months.

Barca's sports director had hoped that Liverpool would soften their stance on the transfer of Luis Diaz, who had already reached a full agreement with them and received Flick's approval, but Liverpool's obstinacy and Bayern Munich's entry into the negotiations thwarted this deal.

    An Inevitable Scenario

"Sport" concluded its report by pointing out that these developments narrowed the options available to Barcelona, making the signing of Rashford unavoidable, especially since the player was eager to come, Manchester United agreed to the loan, and most importantly, Barcelona would acquire a strong reinforcement without any direct financial expenditure.

The newspaper mentioned that Flick had anticipated this scenario in May, spoke with Rashford, and opened a door that was initially closed, ultimately achieving what Marcus and his team desired.
