Khaberni -Media reports have unveiled new developments regarding the fate of the Arab Cup football competition, initially scheduled for this year.
The Moroccan newspaper Al-Montakhab reported that the Arab Football Federation is considering postponing the Arab Cup for national teams until 2025.
It added: "The Arab Federation is thinking of postponing the Arab Cup for national teams due to significant congestion in the international agenda for the year 2025.
It continued: "The upcoming dates in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, combined with the pressure experienced by the players throughout the last season, could physically and healthily impact them."
The local organizing committee for the Arab Cup 2025 has announced that the prize money allocated for the tournament will exceed 36.5 million dollars, setting a new standard and placing the Arab Cup alongside the largest international global tournaments.
