Hacking of Talal Maddahs Official YouTube Channel The Hacker Refuses to Negotiate

Khaberni -Abdullah Talal Maddah, son of the late Saudi artist Talal Maddah, in a special statement to «Alarabiya.net», revealed that his father's official channel on «YouTube» was shut down after being hacked, and the hacker refused any attempts at negotiation or bargaining to recover it.

He pointed out that the «YouTube» management did not show any cooperation with the deceased's family in recovering the channel, despite their full ownership of the content, and thus, the famous artist Talal Maddah no longer has any channel on the well-known platform «YouTube».

The son of the deceased noted that his father's archive is rich with about 1700 songs of high recording quality, explaining that work is currently ongoing to archive and update the content on the platform «SoundCloud» (a platform specialized in music) following the cessation of using «YouTube».
Moving to SoundCloud

He added: «After more than a month since losing the channel, we decided to currently stop using YouTube and focus on uploading the official content through the SoundCloud platform, coordinating with the technical and administrative team».
1700 original works

He mentioned that the total documented from the artistic archive amounts to about 1700 original high-quality works, in addition to about 700 recordings that are either duplicate or low-quality audio copies. He affirmed that the family of the artist Talal Maddah is keen not to publish any material that does not rise to the level of aspiration or does not reflect the true artistic value of Talal Maddah's legacy.

Abdullah confirmed that the current phase focuses on the complete digital transformation of the audio content, to preserve it and present it to future generations through trusted platforms, away from any security or commercial threats that affect the legacy of the late Talal Maddah and his extensive history.
