Khaberni -The index for industrial producer prices during the first five months of this year reached 106.86 points compared to 107.39 points for the same period last year, with a decrease of 0.49%.
When comparing the cumulative index for the first five months of 2025 with the same period in 2024, the prices of manufacturing industries decreased by 0.56 percent, extraction industries by 0.53 percent, while electricity prices increased by 0.57 percent.
According to the monthly report of the Department of Statistics, this Sunday, the index for May this year was 106.42 points compared to 107.92 points for the same month last year, with a decrease of 1.39%.
On the commodity front, contributing to the decrease in the index for May of 2025 compared to the same month in 2024 were the falling prices in manufacturing industries by 1.87%, while the prices of extraction industries increased by 2.81%, and electricity prices by 2.16%.
The index for industrial producer prices for May this year was 106.42 points compared to 106.60 points in comparison to the preceding month of the same year, with a decrease of 0.17%.
On a monthly change basis, the overall index for industrial producer prices for May of 2025 compared with the preceding month decreased due to the falling prices in manufacturing industries by 0.19%, and extraction industries by 0.88%, while electricity prices increased by 0.92%.
