Khaberni - Palestinian sources reported today, Friday, the martyrdom of the child activist on social media, Yaqeen Khader Hammam, due to the Israeli occupation's bombing on Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Several platforms circulated the news of the child Yaqeen’s martyrdom, while activists condemned her killing, noting that the occupation continues to target childhood amidst the genocide it has been waging on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
Human rights reports have repeatedly documented the occupation’s targeting and execution of children in Gaza, describing these practices as flagrant violations of international humanitarian law, constituting war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child previously affirmed that the war in the Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of more children with unprecedented brutality.
The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced in the past few months that the children killed during the war in Gaza exceeded the toll of their number in 4 years of conflicts across the world.
