Khaberni - On Tuesday, Brazilian Neymar da Silva sent a heartfelt message to his former teammate Lionel Messi, on the occasion of his last match with the Argentine national team, scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Neymar continued: "Thank you for making me love football more, it was an honor to play against you, and even greater to make history alongside you," concluding his message with the words: "Thank you, Messi."
Argentinian star Lionel Messi is preparing to play his last match in the jersey of his national team, when Argentina hosts Benin in the early hours of Wednesday, in a much-anticipated night to bid farewell to one of the greatest football stars in history.
Monumental Stadium, the stronghold of River Plate, will host about 85,000 fans, while the number of people wanting to buy tickets online has exceeded half a million. Coach Lionel Scaloni said, "It would have been possible to fill 5 stadiums" with fans wanting to attend the match.
The Argentine Football Association announced the creation of a fan zone named "Gracias, Leo" near the stadium, while the players of the national team will wear special jerseys with golden names and numbers. Players of the national team that won the 2022 World Cup, along with their families, have been invited to attend the match.
The farewell ceremony is expected to include artistic performances and a special tribute to Messi after the match, including a commemorative plaque and a special jersey, along with the display of a video clip on the stadium screens, before Messi gives a speech to the fans.
