UAE defeats Oman and sets a fiery date with Saudi Arabia in the Gulf final

Khaberni  - The UAE national team secured its place in the final of the Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 27", having defeated its Omani counterpart with a goal to none, in the semi-final match that took place on Saturday evening at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

Osman Kamara opened the scoring for "Al-Abyad" in the 22nd minute, when he headed a cross from Mamadou Koolibaly from the left side into the net of goalkeeper Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini.

The UAE team continued its pressure in the second half, and won a penalty after Luan Pereira was fouled, but goalkeeper Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini kept Oman in the game by saving Nicolas Jimenez's shot in the 56th minute.

Despite wasting this opportunity, the UAE team maintained its dominance until the final whistle, ensuring its advancement to the final where it will face the Saudi team, which overcame Qatar last night by 3-2 on penalties after a scoreless draw during the match time.

The UAE star Essam Fayez received the man of the match award for his notable impact throughout the two halves of the game.

The UAE had qualified for the semi-finals after topping Group B with seven points, leading on goal difference over Qatar, after defeating Yemen 4-0, Bahrain 3-0, and drawing with Qatar 1-1.

Meanwhile, the Oman national team reached the semi-finals through drawing lots for the first time in the history of the tournament, coming ahead of Iraq.
