Khaberni - Gasoline prices in Israel are experiencing a record increase, reaching $2.69 per liter starting next Thursday, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.
This increase comes amid a global wave of high fuel prices and disruptions in the energy markets.
According to the body, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced that the controlled fuel prices will rise starting from October 1, 2026, reaching a maximum price of 95 octane gasoline at 8.27 shekels ($2.69) at self-service stations, including Value Added Tax, with an increase of 52 agorot compared to the previous pricing.
The additional charge for full service is 26 agorot per liter, unchanged from the previous pricing.
The Ministry explained that the price increase comes amid developments in global energy markets and a 13% increase in gasoline prices in international markets, on the background of rising oil prices and ongoing concerns about interference with oil supplies and the stability of the global energy market. Additionally, a roughly 3% increase in the dollar exchange rate contributed to the rise in fuel prices in Israel.
