Khaberni - The El Marg Prosecution in Cairo referred the festival singer Magdy Shatta to the criminal court on charges of possession of drugs with the intent to use, after his arrest with ten bags of ice drug.
The case dates back to several weeks when the security forces in Cairo arrested the festival singer Magdy Shatta in the El Marg area, while he was in the vicinity of a security campaign targeting one of the drug dealers, where initial investigations revealed that he was about to buy drugs for the purpose of using.
According to the investigations, the security forces found the suspect in possession of ten bags of drugs, and he was taken to El Marg police station for the necessary legal procedures, while the seized items were retained, and a report was filed on the incident.
Magdy Shatta was then referred to the prosecution, which released him on bail of five thousand Egyptian pounds pending the case, and today a decision was issued to refer him to the criminal court.
It is noted that Magdy Shatta is an Egyptian festival singer, who gained fame over the past years after presenting some songs that became popular across various social media sites.
The name Magdy Shatta has been linked with the festival performer Hamo Bika, due to some disputes that occurred between them, which lasted for several years.
