Khaberni - Official media quoted the spokesman for the Iranian army, Mohammed Akrami Nia, as stating on Sunday that the United States may launch a new attack on Iran because of what he described as a tense regional situation, adding that Tehran is prepared to confront and inflict greater damages on Washington.
Iran, on Sunday, adhered to its terms for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, despite US President Donald Trump's rejection of an Iranian proposal to reopen the waterway and stop the fighting, as Tehran awaits the final American position through intermediaries.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, "Our terms are clear," and that any steps towards reopening the Strait of Hormuz are conditional on their fulfillment, affirming that Tehran will not back down from them, and that a negotiated solution is the way out of the crisis.
Last week, during the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York, Iran presented a proposal that includes reopening the strait within 7 days and stopping the fighting, to be followed by broader negotiations on agreed-upon issues, including the nuclear dossier.
