Khaberni - US President Donald Trump confirmed that Tehran wants to strike a deal "at any cost," but he will not sign a "bad" deal.
He said in comments to journalists that the Iran war could end immediately after the US midterm elections, and possibly before that.
He added that gasoline prices "will quickly decrease and return to what they were," emphasizing that the decision to go to war was necessary.
Trump said, "Iran cannot have nuclear weapons, and will not have nuclear weapons," adding that Iran "wants to strike a deal at any cost," which is "what they always say."
He confirmed that he will not make a "bad deal" with Iran, noting that the agreement Washington could accept must be perfect.
Iranian President Masoud Bzshkyan had confirmed in a post that Iran will not surrender, pointing out that if the Americans are fighters, they should face our forces and not the civilian infrastructure.
This comes as the scope of the maritime confrontation between the United States and Iran widens, increasingly bringing the movement of navigation and energy supplies into the escalation circle, including strikes and targeting of oil tankers and ships in the Gulf and around the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran and Gulf countries are preparing for a meeting on Monday in Oman to discuss the security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, amid diplomatic moves to contain regional tensions.
The meeting comes amid disputes over navigation management arrangements and fees imposed on passing ships, while an Iranian official told Reuters that the meeting will not end with the signing of a final agreement, but will form a framework for discussing regional issues and the strategic navigational passage.
