Khaberni - The Iraqi Security Media Cell announced on Sunday the resumption of the entry of travelers and trade through the Al-Sheeb, Al-Shalamjah, and Mandali crossings, based on the directives of the Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi.
The cell stated that the entry of travelers through Al-Sheeb and Al-Shalamjah has been resumed starting from six o'clock in the morning on Sunday, while commercial movement through Al-Shalamjah will resume on Monday, Mandali on Tuesday, and Al-Sheeb on Thursday, according to schedules set by the Iraqi authorities.
It was clarified that the decision came after reviewing the operational reality of the border crossings and identifying their organizational and technical needs, in coordination with the relevant agencies and bodies working there, with the aim of enhancing the security of the crossings and maintaining the fluidity of the movement of travelers and trade.
The cell confirmed the continuation of the crossing and trade movement with the Iranian side around the clock through the Zurbatiyah and Al-Mundhiriyah crossings.
