Khaberni - Turkish Al-Ahli defender Merih Demiral returned to stir controversy in major matches, after being expelled during the confrontation with Al-Hilal, on Tuesday, in the postponed match from the third round of the Saudi Roshan League.
Demiral received the first yellow card in the fourth minute of stoppage time of the first half, after pulling Al-Hilal player Mohammad Mahzari by the shirt while he was on the pitch, before the referee brandished the second yellow card and then red after a fierce tackle on Dutch player Crysencio Summerville.
This incident came months after Al-Ahli defender provoked Al-Nassr fans during a confrontation between the two teams last April at First Park Stadium, where he approached the fans and players of the capital's team and flaunted the gold medal for the Elite AFC Champions League, which caused tension at the time.
Afterwards, Demiral was suspended for one match, in addition to being fined a total of 165,000 riyals.
