Officially Barcelona Signs with Gabriel Jesus

Khaberni   - Barcelona FC announced today, Tuesday, its signing with Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, who is coming from Arsenal, during the current summer transfer window.

Barca stated in an official statement: "Arsenal and Barcelona have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Gabriel Jesus to the Catalan team, where the Brazilian striker has signed a three-year contract with Barcelona."

It added: "Gabriel Jesus was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on April 3, 1997, and started his football career in his hometown with Anhanguera club. He then moved to the youth sector of Palmeiras Sao Paulo, one of the biggest clubs in the country. He played his first match with the team in March 2015, and won the Brazilian Cup in 2015 and the league in 2016, as well as receiving the Best Player award in the Brazilian league in 2016."

It continued: "The outstanding levels that Jesus showed in Brazil gave the player the opportunity to move to Europe, and in the summer of 2016, he signed with Manchester City under Pep Guardiola."

Continuing: "Jesus played a total of 236 matches with the team, during which he scored 95 goals and made 45 assists. During his time with Manchester City, he was crowned with four Premier League titles, one FA Cup, four League Cups, and two Community Shields in 2018 and 2019."

In July 2022, Jesus signed with Arsenal, and played 123 matches with them, during which he scored 32 goals and made 22 assists.

In January 2025, he suffered from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which kept him off the field until December. He subsequently contributed to Arsenal's crowning of the Premier League title for the 2025-2026 season, after scoring three goals in 14 matches.
