During the summer of 2026, FC Barcelona signed the German Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, the Englishman Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, the Belgian Jelle Vossen from Club Brugge, Rodri from Manchester City, and the Portuguese Joao Cancelo from Al Hilal.
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Cancelo has become the last of Barcelona's signings in the summer of 2026 to be registered, making him ready to play in La Liga.

Why was Vossen's registration with Barcelona delayed?
There is one player among Barcelona's new signings who has not been registered, the promising Belgian Vossen, due to a visa-related issue.
Vossen, who is registered with the reserve team, will be able to participate with Barça Atlètic due to the administrative crisis that prevented him from being on the first team roster.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian Hamza Abdel Karim, striker for Barça Atlètic, is likely to be included in Barcelona's squad for the Sunday match against Elche after shining during the preseason.
Abdel Karim topped the scoring chart for Barcelona during the preseason with a total of 4 goals; two against Birmingham City, one against Swiss Basel, and another against Egyptian Al Ahly.
