Egypt The official divorce ends the crisis of Hossam Hassan and Huwaida AlGharbawi

Khaberni - The divorce between Hossam Hassan, the technical director of the Egyptian national team, and his first wife Huwaida Al-Gharbawi has been officially finalized, closing the curtain on conflicts that reached their peak with a scandal in the North Coast.
The decisive decision was announced by Mohamed Shams, the lawyer of the second wife, Dan Adam, confirming the end of a marriage that lasted for many years and resulted in three children: Aya, Rua, and Omar.

The beginning was when one of the famous cafes inside a large hotel on the North Coast, last Friday evening, witnessed a fierce argument between Hossam Hassan's second wife and the children of his first wife, which quickly turned into a physical altercation, causing panic among the patrons and forcing them to call for emergency police assistance.

The altercation resulted in various injuries and bruises for both parties, while Hossam Hassan himself fainted due to the intensity of the emotion, in a scene that reflected the depth of the crisis.

Lawyer Mohamed Shams said that immediately after the assault on the second wife, Hossam Hassan pronounced the divorce oath on his first wife in front of all those present, with his brother Ibrahim Hassan also in attendance.

It is noteworthy that Hossam Hassan was initially married to Huwaida Al-Gharbawi early in his life, fathered his children with her, and they experienced a brief separation in 2022 that lasted only 10 days before reconciling; however, this latest crisis was decisive.

Lawyer Mohamed Shams clarified that the second wife, Dan Adam, had not previously stated that there was an official divorce between Hossam Hassan and his first wife, noting that his client had previously appeared with the media personality Basma Wahba and stated that there was only a separation, not an official divorce.

The lawyer mentioned that Hossam Hassan and his first wife had been separated as a couple without official paperwork for 13 years (about two years before he knew Dan), but the marriage remained officially valid on paper, out of consideration for his children’s feelings and to avoid impacting them, as Hossam Hassan prefers family stability and to avoid frequent marriages and divorces.
