Khaberni - A poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Survey and Research Studies showed an escalation in levels of dissatisfaction towards the Palestinian Authority, along with decreasing trust in the ability of the upcoming elections to effectuate genuine change.

According to the survey results, 79% of respondents view the Palestinian Authority as a burden on the Palestinian people.

70% supported the resignation of President Mahmoud Abbas, indicating a widening gap of trust between the public and the leadership of the Authority.

Regarding the upcoming elections, 70% said they do not believe they will be fair, while 44% anticipated their postponement, and 40% reported that they would not participate in them.

The survey was conducted between August 5 and 8, 2026, and its results showed increased levels of despair regarding the elections and their capability to bring about genuine political change.

These figures place the Palestinian Authority and the political leadership in front of extremely severe indicators regarding the level of trust as the electoral event approaches.
