Khaberni - Moshe Feiglin, an Israeli politician and leader of the "Zehut" (Identity) party, publicly stated the calls for the complete depopulation of the Gaza Strip, offering residents the choice between deportation and death.
These statements were made during his participation in the program "First Vote" broadcasted on the Knesset channel, where a heated debate took place between him and a young interviewer about his plan called "voluntary displacement".
In the discussion, Feiglin insisted that not a single Gazan should remain in Gaza, claiming that the overwhelming majority of the population wants to leave but Israeli bureaucratic procedures are hindering their exit.
In a direct response to the young man's question about the fate of those who refuse to leave their homes and reject this displacement, Feiglin revealed the coercive aspect of his plan, emphasizing that they must be forced to leave by any means necessary.
He gave an extreme example by mentioning the need to shut off water supplies and starve the population, stating that a Gazan would be compelled to leave just in search of a drink of water, and if they refuse, they should die of thirst, in his words.
Feiglin showed no retreat in the face of the interviewer’s denunciation, who asked if he literally meant the genocide of two million people. Instead, he justified his stance, claiming that the distorted view that granted human rights to the Palestinians led to the "disaster" of October 7th, referencing his grandson's death in the war as a "heavy price for these lenient policies," and demanded dealing with more harshness and brutality.
The dialogue's resonance
This confrontation received significant media attention, as Israeli writer Gideon Levi praised the performance of the young interviewer Eitan Neuman in an article published by Haaretz, stating that he provided a journalistic lesson to senior media figures in Israel.
Levi explained that the boy succeeded in exposing the harsh lie of the term "voluntary displacement," and forced Feiglin to admit details described by Levi as a Nazi solution, executed with chilling coldness and terrifying calmness.
Levi also criticized the giants of the Israeli media, whom he described as cowardly, for usually passing along such statements without scrutiny, preferring to ask superficial and trivial questions.
Moshe Feiglin is an Israeli extreme-right politician, leader of the "Jewish Leadership" faction in the Likud party, seeking to establish a religious Jewish state based on an "identity, values, and pure Jewish ethics" encompassing Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Feiglin lives in the Karnei Shomron settlement, which was built on Palestinian land in the West Bank, and his positions include denying political rights to non-Jews in Israel and denying that Palestinians are a national group.
He is known for his ongoing racist statements in which he describes Palestinians as "parasites," and regularly calls for plans to "transfer" Palestinians from the occupied territories to other countries as part of his political program.
