Khaberni - The Iranian guide Mojtaba Khamenei has broken his silence and sent a new message to the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, reaffirming Tehran's support for the Lebanese party.
Khamenei confirmed in the message published by his office and local media that Tehran prioritizes what he described as "defending Hezbollah," emphasizing that maintaining the unity of Lebanese territory and ending what he described as "Israeli aggression" completely and unconditionally, are, according to the message, essential conditions for any understanding to end the war with the United States.
Furthermore, Khamenei added that Naim Qassem's message and the stance of Hezbollah elements reflects "resilience and steadiness," adhering to the principles of Iran's founder Ruhollah Khomeini and the former Secretary General of the Party, Hassan Nasrallah, as stated in the message.
The Iranian guide accused the United States and Israel of "oppression and injustice."
The Iranian television had broadcast a message addressed by the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, and the fighters of the party to Khamenei, which included a renewal of allegiance to him.
This message came after Mojtaba Khamenei earlier this month said that the breach of the memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington proved what he referred to as the "worthlessness and lack of credibility of the American president's signature," in the wake of escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.
Meanwhile, Mojtaba, who has not appeared publicly since his appointment in March, sent a message to the Iranian interior, stating that "maintaining unity and avoiding division and conflict, staying away from political differences and highlighting social disparities, represent a collective responsibility," considering that the responsibility of Iranian officials in "maintaining the cohesion of the country and its unity is more important and sensitive."
Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared publicly since being appointed the third guide to the Iranian regime and has not released any audio or video messages, while the messages attributed to him are limited to written statements since he was injured in the attack that killed his father and predecessor Ali Khamenei, in February.
In the meantime, the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi revealed the behind-the-scenes of managing negotiations with the United States and the decision-making process in Tehran, announcing that he did not meet the Iranian guide, in statements that sparked widespread controversy within the country.
The prolonged absence of Mojtaba from the public eye raises increasing questions about the actual extent of his role in managing the country's affairs and also adds to the debate on the legitimacy crisis faced by the Iranian regime.
