Khaberni - Jordan Henderson, England national team midfielder and Brentford club player, underwent urgent surgery due to an arm fracture sustained amid the celebrations of his country's victory over Mexico last Sunday, within the World Cup championship.
Henderson's injury (36 years old) came from a misjudged fall described as "strange," which occurred while he was trying to jump over the advertising boards around the pitch; as a result, the player – who did not participate in that match – was taken off the field on a medical stretcher with artificial respiration through an oxygen mask.
In an update on the player's health condition, Henderson posted on his social media accounts confirming that he had the surgery in Kansas City, which the English delegation has chosen as their training camp base throughout the World Cup period.
The veteran midfielder wrote on Instagram: “Surgery done! Let’s get ready for the big game on Saturday.” He added, acknowledging medical care: “All thanks and appreciation to the medical teams that supervised my case at the Kansas City Institute of Orthopedics, especially the three surgeons who performed the surgery.”

Although this injury will officially sideline Henderson from the remaining matches of the World Cup, the technical management decided to keep him with the delegation until the end of the tournament to support his teammates. It is noteworthy that Henderson had made one appearance in this edition when he came on as a substitute in the victory over Panama (2-0) during the group stage; a historic appearance that earned him the title of the first male player to represent the English team in four different editions of the World Cup tournaments.
