Khaberni - The Lebanese army announced the arrest of 20 people including 7 citizens and 13 Syrians in an intensive security campaign that affected various Lebanese regions.
The measures included raid operations and the establishment of temporary barriers, where homes were raided in the town of Baalshmieh in Baabda, and two citizens were arrested for firing weapons, with war weapons, ammunition, and military gear found in their possession.
In the region of Wadi Ata Arsall, another two citizens' home was raided for attacking an army patrol, and war weapons and ammunition were found in their possession; at the Badriya Al-Qubba checkpoint, two citizens were arrested for firing and a pistol and war ammunition were seized, along with the arrest of 13 Syrians in Wadi Harbata Baalbek area for wandering inside Lebanese territories without legal documents, next to the arrest of a Lebanese citizen who was transporting them.
The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and investigations with the arrested individuals have begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary, while security operations continue to pursue anyone compromising national security.
