College of Pharmacy at AlZaytoonah University of Jordan participates in an internationally funded training program by the Germa

Khaberni - In its pursuit to enhance academic excellence and openness to global educational experiences, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan participated in the international training program BIO-METRIC Curriculum (Biomaterials and Osteoengineering – Multidisciplinary Education for Tissue Regeneration and Innovation), funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in collaboration with Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany.

The program, which lasted for six months from June 5 to December 11, 2025, targeted graduate students, focusing on the latest scientific applications in the fields of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, within an advanced academic and research environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. At the end of the program, participants received an accredited diploma from Justus Liebig University Giessen, in recognition of their successful completion of the program requirements.

The event was attended by Professor Thaqif Al-Khasawneh, Professor of Experimental Trauma Surgery and Regenerative Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at Justus Liebig University Giessen, Dean of the College of Pharmacy Professor Alaa Al-Hasban, Vice Dean Dr. Mohammad Al-Wahsh, Head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences Dr. Wasan Jarar, and the Assistant Dean for Laboratory Affairs Dr. Samah Ata.

The attendees affirmed the importance of international academic programs in refining the skills of graduate students, enhancing their research capabilities, and providing them the opportunity to be exposed to the latest scientific developments, thereby expanding the horizons of academic and research cooperation between Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan and international universities and institutions, especially in the fields of biotechnology, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine.

The program included a specialized series of lectures and scientific workshops that covered advanced topics, including regenerative medicine, biomaterials, 3D bioprinting, evaluation of biological scaffolds (Scaffolds), clinical microbiology, and plant biotechnology, alongside the latest applications in tissue engineering, contributing to equipping participants with advanced research knowledge and skills that keep pace with global developments in these fields.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the participating students were awarded certificates of completion of the program, in recognition of their commitment and excellence in meeting the training requirements, expressing their wishes for them for more success and excellence in their academic and research journey, and reaffirming the commitment of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan to continue supporting its students' participation in quality international programs that enhance their competitiveness on both regional and international levels.
